Senay Petros photographs meals at the moment they are most themselves: just plated, half eaten, or still in the pan.
The work is made in kitchens and in cities. A pizza in Naples, truffles bought in Barcelona, pistachio croissants in New York, a chickpea curry at home. Nothing is styled past recognition. The table is the studio.
Notes
These are still lifes of ordinary appetite — fruit, bread, a sauce, a city lunch. They are printed and kept as photographs, not offered as recipes.
